what should i do

ok so i got my self a 1440p 144hz monitor but i have a rx480 sooo am going to be changing that soon i would imagine but i might be getting a 1060 strix for free (long story why) should i sell my 480 and buy anything 1060 get an sli bridge and be on my way or sell both and get a "1100" series or vega depending on what there like 

 

note: selling the 1060 is a little awkward due to the fact it would be a gift so ye

GTX 1060 is basically as fast as the RX 480. Also SLI is not supported on the 1060. Only for the 1070 and up. Yeah I'd get like a 1080, or wait for the 11 series or Vega

Sell both cards, get a 1070 or 80.

Well, it makes no sense to swap the RX480 for the 1060;  and SLi is not possible with the 1060.

 

Can you get just a cash gift instead?

Otherwise, yes sell both, and use the money to get a 1080. I'd say a 1080 is not overkill for 1440p 144Hz.1070 is better for 1440p 60Hz.
