Component Help

So I've been checking out parts for a little while to make my grandma a home/streaming pc. I've picked out these components which I think are compatible but if you see any compatibility errors or think I should swap something out let me know.

• Core i5-7500

• Samsung 850 EVO 250 gb

• WD blue 1 TB hard drive

• EVGA GeForce 1050 2GB

• Corsair Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler

• Thermaltake Core v21

• MSI B250 PRO-VD

• EVGA Supernova 550 G2

• Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2400 mhz DDR4

Throw out the CPU and the cooler.

 

Get a Ryzen 5 1600 and use the stock cooler.

What would do for compadibliity, use pcpartpicker.com . It will help a lot. Also may I ask why your grandmother needs a dedicated GPU?

I think your grandma might be fine with a g4560, integrated graphics. Don't get a h60 for a locked cpu that's going to be used by your grandma...

Are you sure? Im pretty sure she needs some hardcore graphics capabilities to play her minesweeper?? jk. Alright so cut out the graphics and lessen the cooler. Gotcha

Ryzen doesn't have integrated.

 

So don't cut out the graphics, get Ryzen.

Probably means streaming media (Netflix etc) rather than twitch streaming

He won't need a gpu if he goes with the G4560 though which should be more than fine if it is just media streaming.
