Does anyone know from experience or from documentation on if the downloadable version of Windows 10 is regularly updated?  I mean, does the image you can download get updated with patches, etc. on occasion?  Obviously the Windows 10 USB key that's purchasable isn't updated unless you do it yourself, but I'd like to think they'd update it both in terms of convenience and security.

In the past, no. Updates have been for bigger patches, like Service Packs. So I would think current method is same. So bigger updates have been Anniversary and Creators. You could also get one of bigger updated ones from stick. But thats not certain unless patch has been available for several months.

So then it's a crapshoot, but I can always hedge my bets by having the update installers and security definitions/software installers downloaded and on USB storage as well.  Good to know.
