first off, they dont make blocks yet.

secondly im not sure but isnt the 580 just a 480 with better margins. my guess would be the 480 block should fit but dont quote me on that.

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

Wouldn't it be better to use the money saved from buying water cooling equipment and investing that into a better GPU like a 1070? (1080 if plan well)

allready have the watercooling parts, building inside the corsair air 240 so space is very tight if i keep the air cooler on, i was looking at the rx580 for freesync.

Firstly no - EKWB have said they have no intention at all

Secondly - Yes but I don't think there is a reference model so the aftermarket models may use a custom PCB and then it wouldn't fit

interesting my guess would be you could pick a brand they have a 480 blcok for and directly contact them about compatibily with the 580 of that brand

e.g. i was looking for a itx board with full cover block and bitspower makes a block for the msi z170i so i asked them if and msi if it would fit the z270i and they told me they didnt chage they layout overall so the margins should still fit

That might work but I'm not the op so I think you misquoted? I only know the answer from EKWB is no because I checked myself as I was looking at 580s for a budget build, however now I'm just waiting to compare Vega to 1070/1080

Will any Rx480 Block fit on a Rx580? EKWB isn't making a block for the 580, any other manufacturers?

honestly the 470, 480, 570, 580 are stupid cards to water cool (I have a water cooled 470)

A 480 block will work on a 580 IF it uses the 480 reference design. just like how I watercooled my 470 with a 480 block because it uses a 480 reference design.
