I'm looking for a ten keyless mechanical keyboard for my new productivity/gaming setup, and I wondered if anyone had any recommendations? Right now I'm looking into the Cosrair K65. Also, as someone who's never used a mechanical keyboard before, which kind of switches are best for someone who does both FPS and MMO gaming, along with a lot of general typing?

Everything I know I learned from the internet. Also school.

K65 or Masterkeys Pro S. I'd recommend MX Blues, but be warned they are quite loud and clicky. If you want something quieter go with Browns instead (my favorites). But switches are pretty subjective, for example it might end up that you type hard and would prefer MX Greens with a higher actuation force, so if you really need the perfect switch I would go somewhere you can try some out or buy one of those little tester things online that has one of each switch on it

I actually like my keys to be super clicky, and I use push-to-talk for voice chat anyway, so people won't have to hear my clackety-clacking all through the match. MX Blues it is then! I appreciate the in-depth response.

i'd look at MX browns along with their clones, as they are an okay compromise between typing experience and light enough for gaming.

Intel i5-6600K@4.2GHz, 16GB Crucial DDR4-2133, Gigabyte Z170X-UD3, Be quiet shadow rock slim, Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC, Fractal design Integra M 550W, NZXT S340, Sandisk X110 128GB, WD black 750GB, Seagate momentus 160GB, HGST 160GB

Just steer clear of the linear Black and Red switches as those are super gaming oriented and in my experience suck for typing.

That's good info. I need something that can support a relatively high WPM.

My vote would go to the Masterkeys Pro S too, Browns or Blues may suit you best.

EDIT: oh the reason why I say this is because I have the keyboard. (The RGB version with MX Browns). Great keyboard, angled cable is kind of a shame though + software is not great

To me, brown switches feel like an old worn down rubber dome switch, which was literally fucking up my fingers. I went with the K65 with red switches, and I've not had a problem ever since, say what you want, but I don't get why people hate typing on red switches, they're an absolute joy to type and game on. When I started looking into mechanical switches people said blue or brown and really bashing red switches, luckily for me I knew a guy in a computer store so I could test all the switches from both Cherry and Razer, and I quickly discarded all blue and brown switch keyboards, those switches was utterly horrible for me.

The lesson here is, you need to test out the switches yourself because one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Edit: corrected a sentence.
