Hey guys,

So I figured out that my new A8-7600 was dead after two identical motherboards wouldn't post with the processor in it. (MSI A68HI mITX) I assume it was killed by the faulty Asus MOBO it was originally in. Unfortunately Newegg refuses to give me a refund on the processor, although I'm not surprised given that I had to edit their RMA ticket in GIMP in order to even get it to print without being split in half. but I digress

With that in mind, I've submitted a technical support ticket to AMD regarding my warranty with them. Hopefully they honor it and I can get a replacement, although in case they don't; what should I do with the processor which is now essentially a $70 paperweight? I won't be able to afford a replacement until I can find another job repairing or building a computer for someone, or until it's maintenance time for a guy I already work with.

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.

"Here is some advice that might have gotten lost somewhere along the way in your life.

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

Put it on the shelf with all your other dead or outdated hardware and make it look good.  Mount it in a clear glass case if needed. And do the same with any GPU you have which you dont use anymore. Mount them in clear Cases and display them on your shelf if you have one. Make it more like a MANS CAVE. Oh by the way you will need to put up a sign saying "NO WOMAN ALLOWED TO TOUCH" lol. Ok that last sentence i was only joking offically but unoffically i am being serious No woman breaking things :)
