Id geta . ryzen 1600 instead

Use the stock cooler on the ryzen

coolers come with thermal compond, no reason to buy more

Id get a lowerend board, you paying a lot for features you probably won't use

Id geta . big hdd. There also faster.

You can get a small psu and id get a seasonic g 550

R5 1600 > i5-7600K. Higher minimums and more consistent frametimes.

But I'm going to go against the R5 1600 tangent and suggest you go for the i7 7700K since you do plan to game at 1080p 144Hz where basically every frame counts and it still does a decent job at editing.

I use a 7700K with a GTX 1070, and have no issues doing video editing.  Yes, it may take longer than a Ryzen, but still gets the job done, and has higher FPS in gaming, although with the caveat that it may not be as smooth.

Midnight Rig - CPU: i7-7700K / Cooler: Corsair h100i V2 / Motherboard: AsRock Z270 Taichi / RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz / GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 / SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm / PSU: EVGA Supernova B2 750W
