Why get 1060 6GB and play with low settings?

Push the resolution and settings so that the CPU is less utilized and won't bottleneck much

Underclocking won't give you more FPS....

Sorry but what's the thought process? :\

 

underclocking may reduce the bottleneck between the two but it doesn't increase performance.

 

Just turn up the settings and enjoy the eyecandy.

underclocking will only lower FPS.  If you want to get better FPS, OC.  You misunderstand the term bottleneck, your 1060 will not perform at max with that CPU but it won't be that bad
