HELP CANNOT CONNECT TO WIFI

And restart your computer/laptop/tablet/phone/whatever device it is after you unplug the coaxil and power cord from your router, count to 10, then plug them back in, wait for all the lights to go back on and none are flashing incessantly, then restart your device.

There is enough youth in this world, how about a fountain of smart?

Let's get to the basics first:

 

1.can another device connect to that network eg. a different phone or laptop?

 

2.restart router and maybe internet box(the one provided by your internet company where the wires or fiberglass sticks into and Ethernet sticks out of)

 

3.restart device

Well the point of WiFi is to avoid cables....

Try to power cycle your router, if that doesn't help then you can try resetting the router.

If you really want to be sure whether your internet works, try to connect your modem directly to your PC/laptop (this requires cable but this helps you to troubleshoot the problem better)

Yep but my new com cannot  and I tried restarted cannot and how do I set up wifi connections without cables ?

It's a custom built pc and what model u mean the Motherboard or what , what is wifi chip and where does it locate at? How to check if u got wifi chip

Can you help me check I tried checking on my Motherboard but it didn't say anything here's the model msi z270m mortar

Look I found this on my motherboard! Does it mean I have wifi installed ?

No, your motherboard doesn't have wifi on board from the look of the product page. You will have to either buy a wifi adapter to use wifi, or use an ethernet cable to connect to your router by cable.

It means that your MOBO doesn't have onboard WiFi support. You have to get a external WiFi card regardless if it's connected via PCI or USB. Go google WiFi card or WiFi adapter and you will know they are.

Make sure you have proper drivers and or the network card isn't turned off.
