FOR CS:GO PLAYERS

Looks good. If you can change some parts then you can get the GTX 1070 like this: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/kpmCPs

Hi again,

thanks for your quick response. I really like this idea, and wouldn't mind compromising some aesthetics / other for a no-doubt better video card. I would, still, however like a case with a side panel window to view my parts. Maybe the standard black bitfenix nova with a window would do for this?

Thanks,

Jacob

Bitfenix Nova is good in aesthetics but many users have reported that the cable management is poor in that case, just keep that in mind

To all Counter Strike : Global Offensive players:

1. Do you play it with a self-built PC or a pre-built PC (with standard parts)?

2. If so, what are the parts of that PC (mainly CPU + GPU) and how much fps do you get with it (include video settings & map)

3. If possible, include approximate cost of your PC too

[Reason: I am building a gaming PC ~1000 EUR to be used 90% for CS:GO gameplay]

Thanks in advance for your help,

Jacob

The great thing about CSGO is you do not need a high end one. I built a high end computer back in the day for battlefield 3 and have upgraded the graphics card just to keep up with the times for other games. I play my CSGO on low graphics to get the absolute best gameplay possible even though I have a pretty high end card.

If you are just looking to play CSGO and don't plan on getting any higher end games like say Arma. Then your budget should be pretty flexible.

I built my pc back in the day for battlefield 3 for about $700. Only I changed in is the GTx 560 to a GTX 950.

Hey all,

My final CS:GO max fps gaming build (with light content creation in the future) , with regard for black/white aesthetics as well as budget no higher than what's listed. Thoughts?

Why would you get a 4790k over a 6700k....and How does a 980Ti perform better than a 1080.

Can anyone back this up or discredit these statements?

a 4790k has better single core preformance. and a 980ti preforms better than a 1080 in CSGO. almost no other games than csgo.

No it does not....A 6700k has better single core performance than a 4790k and a 7700k has identical single core performance to a 6700k at the same clockspeeds.

How much crack are you on and where can i get some?

But to be honest, it doesnt make sense for you to get a 6700k over the 7700k right now when the 7700k is cheaper/ the same price..

No idea why, but you want to go for twice your refresh rate. I'm on mobile at 4am so CBF checking why but for some reason it's way smoother.

Spoiler: Triple your refresh rate is even better.

You're not going to get meaningful information by asking this way.  Just head over to the builds sub-forum and make a post explaining you want a PC for around $1k euros for CSGO (fill out a template like they suggest) and people will help you build a parts list.  Any information you get here is highly subjective and pricing will be grossly out of date unless they just built a machine.

That being said: you could have build a computer 5+ years ago for $1k US and easily gotten over 150FPS sustained in CSGO.  It's one of the least demanding games on the market because it's a fast-paced eSports title where tuning down settings makes very little difference to the experience and is actually often a competitive advantage.

edit: also... anyone that is even remotely serious about PC gaming builds their own system or has a friend/family member do it for them.  Pre-built systems are either 1) more expensive for the same performance and/or 2) made with lower quality parts.  You get both better quality and better performance by doing it yourself without spending any more money unless you are on an extremely tight budget (and you aren't, 1k euros should be pretty reasonable).

Thanks for your advice,

Have already gone toward the "New builds and planning" forums and created two topics related to this and received plenty of good replies and discussion, am over here now for people who may already have built their own PC for a similar purpose to ask them for their experiences and try to learn from it.
