So my H100i failed on me recently, and now Im in the market for a new cooler. kinda leaning more towards air cooling so I dont have to worry about this issue again.

Any suggestions on a good cooler?

I know Noctua makes some great coolers, but I dont know much about air coolers. also any good liquid cooler systems? (all in one please, cant afford a custom loop yet)

Any help would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Case: Corsair 650D

Socket: 1155

price range: $150 US dollars

the h100i is a good product and carries a good rep, if yours is still under warranty, send it back and get it fixed.

are you planning on overclocking? im guessing you are due to the h100i originally

if that is the case and you are overclocking, then i would once again recommend a water cooler, and if its not the h100i, try water coolers from other companies like swiftech and their h220

if you're not overclocking then pretty much anything from noctua is good and also check out the hyper 212 evo from cooler master

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146028 this beats the h100i even the h110 in many cases. You might even be able to grab a few fans for it and still stay under 150

I would go for a Noctua NH-U12S.  Great cooler, great quality and has all the tools to make it whisper quiet.

If you're not heavy on oc'ing, a Hyper 212 Evo will do yo uproud.

Otherwise, the PH-TC14PE, NH-D14, Havik 140, and Silver Arrow Extreme are all great air coolers.

I went with a Noctua u14s and an extra nf-a15 fan for push/pull and it's been working well.  I was going to buy the Cooler Master Glacer 240L (replacement for Swiftech H220 in the US) but Newegg was out of stock when I bought my parts...

I have a Noctua NH-U12DX i4, pretty much the same as the U12s.  http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=19759

May I suggest the NH-D14? Yes I may!

It's a great cooler so long your case and motherboard support it: http://noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=34&lng=en (I know your case definitely does)

It's very quiet and cools almost as well as an H100i. The thing is a beast and you won't be disappointed.

Using the Xigmatek DK2 for my Intel build..so far so good....swapped my fans out and it keeps things pretty cool for a 120mm cooler.
