I have tried shadowplay and its good and what not, but the quality isnt that great. I am trying to get perfection quality like so -

The quality on Shadowplay is great, you may have to spend a little bit of time tinkering with the settings to get the results you are looking for.

you can get really good quality with Shadowplay if it is done right. Just do custom setup with it and it works wonders.

For the past year I have always used my NVENC as my encoder and I get great fps, like it dosent drop at all. But the quality problem is still there and its a bit pixelated. So I figured that if I used the CPU encoder, I would get better quality.

Have you tried increasing the bitrate while using NVENC? You usually need a higher bitrate with NVENC to get comparable quality to H.264

change your CPU usage preset from faster to super fast to decress strain on the CPU, If you are recording at a very high bit rate you don't need a high CPU preset due to the bit rate making up for a lower quality CPU preset.

also make sure your recording drive can keep up with 50,000 (it probably can)

@FinupJust realized you're using 50,000 bitrate for encoding... Holy shite. Dude you don't need that, no wonder your cpu is getting thrashed. Turn it down to like 3500 or so and see how that goes, if it still isn't great use NVENC instead.

Higher bit rate lessons the burden on the CPU. also 50,000 isn't even that bad, BD is 30,000.

I bet its the CPU usage preset.

Isn't 50,000 like, ABSURD?

Normally don't people use bitrates in the 3000-10,000 range?

2000 - 4000  for streaming

30,000 KBps is BD bit rate

50,000 is more but not that bad. most HDD can do over 100 MBps so I dont see why this is a issue.

1080p RAW video is over 200MBps.

and his issue is CPU usage not bit rate.

he should set a lower CPU usage preset so the CPU inpact is less and he has more then enough bit rate to offset a lower encoding quality.

example

CPU on fast x 3000 Bitrate looks the same as CPU on super fast x 8000 Bitrate (random numbers)

to run a test, downlaod handbrake and convert a video at ultra fast and at normal (make it s short clip)

What do you mean 6PSU?

It's very bad. Replace very soon. It shouldn't be powering a 1080.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
