Good afternoon everyone,

After learning a hard lesson of not using alcohol to clean an acrylic EK water block (EK 1080 GTX TF6) Ive got onto EK in europe and a replacement top is roughly 60-70 aud and ~2 weeks delivery if aus post decides to not lose the item..

Ive been looking at the few alternatives and came across the phanteks blocks for the MSI GTX1080 Gaming X, has anyone had experience with them?

New EK block the same is 199 and acetal version is 149.

OR use the special acrylic glue i have to attempt to seal.

Opinions?

pics for lessons learnt. (note screws were not tight at all)

Once it cracks it's no good since it will continue to propagate, they can get you a replacement top of the block which is a good option, just be sure to torque it down to what's needed and to not use any solvents.

Between them and Phanteks both are good blocks there is not a huge difference in blocks these days in terms of performance.
