So I want to do AIO cooling on my EVGA gtx 970 SC with the NZXT G10. Assuming that i dont need to remove the plastic plate on the right side of the gpu, which of the other leftover chips, that wont be cooled normally with the nzxt g10, will need cooling so i can buy the right heatsinks to put on there? I coloured the chips i think are relevant so you can just tell me which coloured ones.

thanks in advance!

The ones on the left probably need cooling, as those look like the VRM and house keeping circuitry chips. Those can get really hot, well into the 100C range.

The red circled ones are VRAM chips. They may not need cooling, but it'd be a very good idea to do so.

the green are the FETs and they absolutely have to be cooled

the yellow, chokes, do not matter

the red, VRAM chips, should be cooled - not absolutely imperative

okay thanks so i will be putting heatsinks on VRM,VRAM and those "FETs", i will probably have enough left to also put onto the chokes, whatever they do xD

VRM is designed to run at 125oC, it can easily handle a load at that temp, though as you go down the temperature range, they can handle more current.

Filter the ripple out the power going to the GPU.

so they make power delivery "smoother" or what? I am not an expert in this field :D

I'd still think it'd be a good idea to cool them down.
