I'm having this issue where my internet keeps resetting and booting everyone offline for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then it reconnects all devices. We talked to internet provider (cable one) and they said the COAX line was bad so they replaced the line. We ended up having the same issue. We then proceeded to purchase a modem/router combo figuring it might just be the cable box that is bad. Well, we are still having the same issue with the internet resetting. What else could we do to prevent this further?

Call your cable provuder again

Does this occur when another device connects/joins the network? (reconnects)

It could be bad coax or it could be a loose line. Check all the connections, even take off the wall plates and check the connection in the wall, I had mine come loose. You need to check your modems signals. Go to 192.168.100.1 to check those. Compare your signals to here: https://www.dslreports.com/faq/5862 

 

If the signals are out of wack, that can cause issues. If your signals are out of wack, call your provider and have them come out. Make sure you show the tech the signal levels, that will give them a good idea on what the problem is.
