The age old question comes up again. Do I need to upgrade and do I even benefit?

So last year (in fact in 3 months exactly a year ago) I bought a new PC. I was in dying need and bought a pre-made system. The system contained.

A MSI GTX 960 with 2GB of VRAM

8 GB of DDR4 Memory with a speed of 2133MhZ

Intel core i5-6400

A 3,5 inch sata HDD with 1TB of storage

A m.2 128GB samsung module running at SATA speeds.

All of it supported by a full Razer Chroma set and two of these: http://www.dell.com/ed/business/p/dell-u2414h/pd one on HDMI, the other on displayport but set-up as dual monitor

And now I am at the point that I am wondering if there is any merit in upgrading my system. Should I fill up my second ramslot by buying a new RAM set?  Should I invest in a new GPU and if yes which one?  Perhaps I should invest in a more recent CPU before a new socket comes along? Do I actually benefit from a upgrade?

What do I use the system for? Casual internet usage and multitasking (mail, multiple browser windows).

Light Photoshop work on Adobe Elements. Just to touch up my .RAW images nothing fancy.

Light/casual gaming. Basicly just Overwatch. Which runs at a solid 60 FPS On ultra settings when the GTX 960 is on a small OC with MSI afterburn (decent temperature of 65 degrees at 60% fanspeed under load).

So as stated above is there any benefit to (partially) upgrading this system at this point? Or will I just be wasting money on hardware I won't use?

Money isn't really the issue as long as I actually benefit from upgrading besides saying: Look it looks nice.

Edit: If this is on the wrong sub-forum I apologize in advance.

To me, if the system works fine for your needs, it should be good. Maybe get some more RAM if you see yourself running out of it on Task Manager, but I think you'll only see that if you hoard chrome tabs.

Probably the route I would take is:

8GB -> 16GB RAM

6400 -> 6700

960 -> 1060 6GB / RX 580

However, wait until you find these upgrade parts used / for cheap. Right now I don't think anything is worth the price premium if everything works for you (I still live fine on my 2700K)

Ah, right, depending on how bad the PSU is, you may need to replace it before you can start sticking in higher end hardware (Safely anyway), but I can't see anything in here that would be worth upgrading (Even the cost to a 1060 6GB / 580 isn't worth the gain quite yet).

Stockfan of the CPU and stockfan on the GPU for a total of two fans. Closed of full tower system.

Get a New PSU, RX580 or RX570, more case fans and get a bios update for your motherboard and get a i7-7700

PSU is 450 Watt with a 6-pin for the GPU

Yeah, need a model / picture of the label of the PSU...just because it says 450W, doesn't mean it can do 450W. You also don't know how much of that 450W is on the 12v (what most things use) and not pushed towards the other rails (5v, 3.3v).

But yeah, I'd hold off on upgrading for now unless you find a good deal on them.

Yeah, when you're ready to upgrade (You're probably going to have to get the CPU / GPU at the same time), just post up your prebuilt PSU and post specs again in the PSU / case subforum. People will point out what is good to buy for you that won't set on fire (Haha, I had a HP prebuilt PSU, 450W as well...it went up in smoke. lol)
