So i have been wondering about this for a looong time, And i still haven't found a good answer. So here goes, how much RAM do you need for gaming? And is it necessary with more than 8gb, and if so what would be the difference between 8 and let's Say 16gb

You don't need more than 8 gb for gaming.

8GB will be more than ample. 16GB will be needed if you're doing video editing, or music production. The difference on Intel platforms is minimal.

8gb is fine, you can always upgrade later

Currently beyond 8gb you will see almost no performance benefit. Beyond 16gb there's pretty much no way.

Also really depends on what kind of stuff you running in the background though.

You already know the recommended amount which is 8GB. No difference between 8 and 16 unless the program uses more than 8

Because i've Seen many YouTube videos about this, and they all kinda have their own little theory why this and why that. So kinda my question is how much RAM does a game need in general(let's Say bf4)

8GB is what you need, I have 32GB of RAM but I haven't set up a RAM disk yet

Load the game and check task manager. Every game is different.

At the moment it's safe to say that 8GB is enough RAM for most gaming situations. Although that might change in the future.
