Well I feel like I don't feel clean. Like my pc. I feel like it has to many items. I would like to have an application that atuomatically does that for you. Have you ever gotten a phone booster for your crappy 1gb phone? That wil clean your files every 30 minutes? Has a user friendly interface? Something like that but for pc.

CPU - i7-4790k

GPU - MSI 980 Ti

Mobo - MSI Z97 Gaming 5

If your PC is freakishly clogged with random programs I would just get a fresh install of Windows. Install only what you need afterwards.

There are programs like CCleaner (I've had bad experiences with them) but as far as I know nothing extraordinarily useful.

  • CPU = i7 5930k
  • Cooler = Corsair H100i
  • RAM = Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR4-2666
  • Storage = Samsung 850 Pro 1TB
  • GPU = EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3
  • PSU = Corsair 750D
  • PSU = Corsair 1000W
  • Monitor = Asus PG278Q

Be careful with what you do with IObit Uninstaller. Nothing against them per se, but I have used the "Powerful Clean" feature, removed registry entries through it, and had Windows 10 become unbootable.

I manually keep my PC clean by ensuring I don't install programs I don't need and keeping my files organized in a meticulous way so they never clutter my desktop or user folders. As for temporary files, I use cleanmgr which is built into Windows, and nothing else because everything else is a scam.

I'd take a mostly hands on manual approach.

Uninstall any software you don't actually use. It builds up over time... and you can forget you ever had it installed.

Check startup programs, and disable any you don't think are useful. For example, I usually kill onedrive which I don't use, and any adobe product updaters (since they're so old there will be no more updates for them anyway),

Use ccleaner with caution to remove random leftover files. Do check the settings, for example, I do not have it nuke my browser files other than the cache which can grow to massive sizes.

Use Windows Disk Cleanup, select boot drive, then select clean system files option. This will then expose an option to remove out of date versions of updates on your system which can also free up a ton of space if it hasn't been run before on older systems. This doesn't need to be done often, once every few months is plenty, or after a major windows patch once you're sure you don't need to roll it back.
