I use 500GB (465GB in Windows) Samsung 850 EVO SSD for my games. I usually have at least 20 games installed at a time with still some free space left.

Currently, 25 games installed and 82GB free space left.

The largest currently installed games are Battlefield 1, GTA V, Witcher 3, DOOM and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

as for storage for you, best option is on the PC you want to use the on. As for their size varies game to game, but most are under 10GB I believe

or on a NAS, which you do fancy magic to make it let you install games on it (some games e.g. minecraft don't like you doing that so doing magic fixes it)

I used to have games which demand high storage speeds on SSD. And I will do that again with bigger SSD when I have more time for games again. Currently all games are on HDD.

Cloud for games isn't option yet. Its still too slow speeds, and your cloud storage would need to act like external drive.

32 games worth 250GB on SSD

6 games worth 100GB on HDD

technically you could save games on NAS/cloud/whatever but that would increase your loading times drastically. Better get a big HDD and put your games there if you do not have enough space on SSD.

the game doesn't always like that unless you do some fancy magic, (can't remember what said magic was though)

Steam games take up 471 GB, Origin games 100 GB and other games (that are not from Steam or Origin) take up another 288 GB. I store all of them on my 6TB HDD.

Best option would be to get a storage device in your PC, either HDD or SSD, depending on how much games you want to store and how much is your budget.

with steam you can just create a permanent mounted network drive and create a steam library on this, so not that fancy. This works but it is much slower than a hdd.

oh it is I agree, but as for the mounted drive that works for steam, but not for games like minecraft where you can't get it through steam, or a few other games I would imagine. you need to use ICSCI to fix that I think (which is one of the many things I keep on meaning to do but haven't)

My game library in total consumes about 4TB, if not more, in storage space. Though this is only counting all of my digital library. Most of that is stored on my external drive since I only have a 1TB SSD that serves the purpose of data and other apps.

I'm not at home to see my specifics, but I think I usually have about 600–700 GB of games installed.

I have a 128 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD for games and applications, and a 2 TB HDD for storage purposes. I can and have filled the 1 TB drive with games before, but I never actually need to have that many installed at one time.
