Saving programs to second drive

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

I usually create folders on drives with suggestive names, like  Programs for various applications , Downloads for stuff downloaded from the Internet, Games for retail games, Steam for games installed by Steam and so on...

You should never install anything by entering only the root of a hard drive, always have a folder in the path.

Just added an SSD to my desktop and am using the HDD for a second data drive. My problem is how do I save certain programs/games to the D: drive? When I select the D drive it asks for more information, do I need to make a folder?

You can assign the USER folders to locations on the D: drive.
