I am building a PC https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tgBhr7 I need it to be less than $2,000. I just need it to be able to run games without to much lag. I don't need battlefield 1 at 1K FPS. I just need something that works. I am new to PC building so i'm not sure what is overkill and what is underkill.

For something that just runs? Then this is overkill.

This takes it to $2066. Do you really need two 1080p 144 hz monitors? You probably will only be gaming on one so isn't two overkill?

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

1- Overpriced RAM, you can get a kit with the same speed for less

2- No need for thermal paste, it comes with most coolers.

3- Get a better CPU cooler like the D15

4- Overpriced case

5- You really don't need 750W for a single GPU, get a 550-650W G2/G3/RMx

6- What are you going to use the two monitors for? Why not get a single ultrawide monitor?

Exactly the same performance, just slightly less overpriced parts.

Mind you, you won't be overclocking much on that 212 Evo, but that might be a nice upgrade down the line.

edit: Damn, didn't mean to pick the 6700, just change that for a 6700K

Does you mum know you're here?
