Choosing a CPU?

If i had to choose between a AMD FX-8370 8x 4.00GHz and a Intel i5 7600K 4x 3.80GHz. Which one is better interms of gaming?? THANKS

Don't even consider an FX Chip, those chips are 5 years old now and shouldn't even be sold brand new anymore. 

 

Depending on what you are really doing will matter. If you're on a budget that could change things compared to if you aren't.

Don't pick brand before CPU.

just pick the CPU that fits the best for you.

 

FX CPUs are shit, they're super old, and were pretty crap even when they launched AFAIK.

IMO you should go with a Ryzen 1600

I would suggest the Ryzen 5 1600.  That being said, Intel is good too.

7600k isn't worth it. Intel is either 7500 or 7700 (or skylake coutnerparts) but the 1600 renders them useless IMO

Disclaimer: Never actually owned an Intel CPU

It currently has worse averages but better minimums and as time goes on games will support ryzen better and multithreaded cpus better.
