First PC build error

Hi, guys, I was building my new PC, It is a Ae asus maimus IX hero MB and I have CPU cooler fan and sata drive connected, the MB running into q_code A2 IDE deected and it doesn't post, did anyone have this issue too and please help

Look up what that POST code means.

 

Do you have the RAM installed?

I have the ram connected, the MB manual doesn say iDE's meaning but I saw on the forum that it means Possible SATA defective cable.

- Loose CPU_FAN connector.

I tried reconnect them and only connect one harddrive but still no post

so... check that

 

replace your SATA cable and switch to a different header

 

take out and put back in your CPU fan connector.

Make sure all your connections are solid, reset cmos and try again.  only have the drive that os is on connected.

Try booting without anything but nessessary. You don't need HDD or any other SATA device to get into BIOS/UEFI. So just with mobo, CPU, RAM, cooler and PSU.
