we have to see if Vega puts up enough of a fight to force Nvidia to come down in pricing, but significant price drops won't be till Volta renders it pointless, much in the way Pascal did the 980ti.

Benchmarks put the Vega card between the 1070 and 1080. So. These guys called the 500 series being a refresh before anyone.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Because it's a valid benchmark database, and the same sources said the 500 series would be a refresh. In other words, they know what they're talking about.

You wanting vega to be more than it is, doen't change the stock price crash when this hit.

Well I guess we will see what happens right, that same GPU ran Doom 4k at 60FPS Ultra Settings. the 1080 cant do that.

Yes... The 1080 can. I saw the Vega engineering sample, I'm a computer science major in Las Vegas so was there for CES. In Doom Vega is right there and can even beat the 1080, but Doom is the most biased game for team red there is.

Synthetics don't mean shit, so it's not the sky falling that Vega didn't score well. I completely agree that we need to wait for independent testing.

But come on, the chances of Vega running along side a 1080ti are so slim right now it's almost embarising to talk about.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I see your point now, this could also be the mid to low end GPU there are supposed to multiple models.

Absolutely. And even if the top Vega card can only beat the 1070, thats the top selling card for team green. That's a much better target than the 1080ti.

But AMD is in a pickle, their stock prices are in the toilet. They NEED to shit or get off the pot with Vega.

Ha! Check out the prices on new 980ti LOL. Sure used prices fell, which was awesome. But new prices are crazy.

So I'm wanting to upgrade to a 1080 ti, but I'm worried my PSU won't handle it. I have an I7 6700k, 16 gb ram, and a 475W PSU.
