I'm confused. It's been mining for 10 min but it doesn't show any signs on the website that it's been mining and says 0.0000000000000000 BTC

Because you're running such weak hardware, that'll take (probably) a few years to mine a reasonable amount of btc (maybe.. 2-5 of them?).

Oh ok. ?

Check website: whattomine and you can see what is the most profitable to mine right now with your GPU.

GPU mining is profitable only for those who have cheap or free electricity and use at least 50 GPUs. Otherwise you will be making like 0,5€ profit per day .... not worth the strugle.

I can go out for 1 hour, and I'm sure I will find 0,5€ on the floor somewhere much faster than you earn it by GPU mining with single low tier card.

snip

Step 1: Rent a huge warehouse

Step 2: Buy like 30-50 racks of Servers.

Step 3: Buy like 100-200 AMD RX 580s or Fury Xs

Step 4: Insert the GPUs into the server racks.

Step 5: Profit?? :D.

Harsh or not, it's how it is.

I did some mining with my GTX 1070 and I earned like 30$ in 1 month ... It did feel good to get 30$ just like that. But next month when I received bill for electricity .... well it was exactly 25$ more than usuall.

10/10 would't recommend.

And that was with mining Zcash which was the most profitable at that time.

Exactly ... mining with your daily PC is not worth it anymore.

But if you have something like this + free electricity, then go for it since you are looking at few hundred dolars per day. But keep in mind that you also have to invest in all that hardware in the first place. And usually electricity isn't for free xD
