Try reseating the wireless NIC. There might be a cover on the bottom for easy access. If not, I'd consult the service manual.

Yeah, then I'd see if you can't find a service manual or take apart guide online. They'll tell you everything (except what to do with the extra screws you mysteriously end up with when you put it back together)

Otherwise, as a cheap temporary solution you could use a USB WIFI adapter.

From the desktop go here and search control panel.59091ad7001e8_Image1.thumb.png.1e49424dc9d39af3db6497d4e80400b0.png

From there open Network and Sharing.59091b05cb418_Image2.png.b36e5703872723aa1cad5403ea8b700d.png

Now open this and then go to your Adapter settings59091b3e7841e_Image3.png.3f4295dc1ccc886c4ee4982f25987cdb.png

From here you should see something like this.59091b6004155_Image4.png.fee3230ef3ed671d5a04f452e2767632.png

This should tell you what Network Adapters are there, tell me if you see any.

Open the start menu and type "Device Manager". Say yes if it asks you to allow it to make changes to your PC. Then, in the app that opens, look through the list and find the network adapters drop down, and click on it. Right click on your wifi adapter, and choose uninstall. Then restart your computer, and Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

If you have a spare computer, you can try downloading drivers and putting them on to a flashdrive, disk, etc, and then install them on your laptop.

Otherwise, I think your best bet is to buy a USB adapter, you can get them relatively cheap.
