I want to start streaming

there's a few things in a build that i can only give my recommendations on, which eventually come down to preference:

- the case

- peripherals

- cooler choice (i'm a big towercooler person, some people are crazy and like 10k rpm delta fans, others like putting water near electronics)

- specific brands: if two brands make the same spec product, it comes down to aesthetics.

have you done watercooling much? i havent tried any air cooler except the 212 evo. Im pretty much set on the ryzen build now. I just need to figure out whether to go B350 or X370 and also what storage.

the closest i've come to watercooling is a 3D printed block for a raspberry pi running with a decommissioned aquarium pump.

i'm a silence freak, pumps dont suit that image :P

TBH i think you set me on the Noctua cooler. I will be streaming across from my parents room lol. Now for storage. I would like to use only ssd's because ive had bad things happen in the past with mechanical (rip my doggo pictures and movies and erm we wont talk about that). i dont need a but load of space but a 960 evo m.2 and a 850 evo sata i think would work wonders.

get two hard drives and get two copies of your data. SSD's arent magic, they break as well ;)

Okay. what are your recommendations on a good storage set up. Remember i will be editing off the drives. Also will there be any problems with the d15 mounting on the b350 board?

though it does look enticing, ive never used rosewill psu's. how good are they?

Edit: also is there a reason for the trident memory? i am seriously debating the noctua d15.

It depends on the unit. This unit is a "Tier 2 unit" on our tier list. You can find that here:

I put in it for colour scheme. It looks good. Black and white.

Well if you wanted, I can make another list with a similar cooler that fits the scheme (Dark Rock Pro)

honestly i dont think id ever use the full power of the 1080ti. I plan on getting 2 24inch 1080p 144hz monitors so the 1080ti might be a little overkill

a 1080 can't max out 144hz 1080p in some games

A RX 570 could hit most games 1080p @ 60fps

But for your question, some certain AAA games. Can't remember which ones.

there are very very few it cant max out on. mostly its just bad optimization. Hell it can hit over 60 on the new hitman in dx12 at 1440p. and that game was terribly optimized

But back to builds, I want to point out that mine can SLI due to being on the X370 chipset with a 850W PSU.

but i dont plan on sli'ing my build. and if i went with your build (which i might) i would change the psu( to a g2) and the 1080ti to a 1080 and changing the ram to be low profile and putting in a d15 cooler.
