I7-4790K & 1080

I currentley use a I7-4790K oc to 4.6 and a MSI GTX970.
I want to upgrade to an ASUS STRICT GTX 1080 OC.
Wil my CPU bottleneck the 1080?

I have 3 screens:
2x BenQ RL2455HM
1x LG 34UM68 Ultrawide

I use the LG for gaming

No, you're good.  My 4790k is great with my 1080Ti at 1440p

Yes there is, and it does. Even the 7700K will bottleneck a 1080 in 1080p144. Altough in his case, ultrawide 1440p, the 4790k is great.

Depends on how shitty the game is. I never had an issue with a good game while I used my 1080 with a 4790k. I use it with my 3770k now.
