I'm looking to create my first PC build. I'm pretty new to this but I have some friends that helped me compile this list and I did some research on my own as well. This is what I have so far.

This computer will mainly be used for gaming and some CAD work.  I want the main color to be black and I may end up adding RGB lighting in later.

Possible Changes:

CPU Cooler-I might ditch the liquid cooling for an air cooler that I can get at a cheaper price. I do plan on overclocking but I don't know if the performance increase from the liquid cooler will be worth the extra cost.

Motherboard-I'm considering switching out the x370 motherboard for a B350 motherboard because it should allow me to save a bit of money and I'm not sure if I need all the capabilities of the x370 motherboard.

Memory-I'll probably end up switching out these for different memory that's black but I don't think it will have much of an impact so I just left it for now.

Video Card- I was initially set on the 1070 but then I heard that the new AMD cards will be coming out before the end of May. I would be willing to wait for these if they could offer better performance for the price. If I do go with the 1070 though I don't know which manufacturer I'm going to use cause I don't really know what the difference is or why there are so many different types of 1070s.

Case- I would prefer something with a side window, preferably tempered glass, and even though I don't need an optical drive right now it would be nice to be able to add one in the future.. The case I have right now is just something I threw to finish the build. If I do end up going with the liquid cooler the case has to have a slot for at least a 240mm radiator.

Power Supply-PCPartPicker says this build should use around 370 watts so I chose a 500W power supply to make sure I have enough power and to leave room for possible upgrades. I am a little concerned about the quality of this power supply because it was so inexpensive.

Any tips are appreciated. I might be wiling to raise the price a bit if it were to offer a significant performance increase but this is pretty close to my max price and I'm actually looking to lower the cost of the build as I still need to buy peripherals. For a monitor I'm looking for a 1440p with a decent refresh rate so if you have any tips for how I can get one of those for a decent price that would be helpful. I'm willing to buy a used or refurbished monitor if I could get it for a good price and in decent condition. I'm probably going to be using a second monitor as well but I don't have it yet and it doesn't need to be that good of a monitor.

Get the 1600 instead, it's just as good. The PSU is pretty mediocre.

The PSU is pretty mediocre, this would be much better:

I've heard a lot of people suggest switching out the 1600x for the 1600. Why is this? Is the extra clock speed on the 1600x not worth it?

Both will overclock to about the same level anyway, so there's no point.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I'm going to end up switching to a B350 Motherboard, I'll have to do some research on that to see which one I want, and get an air cooler instead of the liquid cooler as long as it can support overclocking for the 1600. The intel i7-6700k build was interesting especially since it included a GTX 1080, but I don't think I'll be able to afford a monitor that can actually make use of the 1080s capabilities right now so I'm probably going to stick with the 1070 unless AMD's new GPUs turn out to be good. I've also considered going down to a 1060 or a RX 580, but I'm not sure if the price difference will make up for the drop in performance. I'll probably try to put together an intel build though just to see what I can get but from a glance it looks like it will be hard to match the performance of the AMD CPUs at the same price point. For the Intel build I'm not sure yet if I should use a i5-7600k, the i7-6700k, or the i7-7700k.
