Tell that to the guy that posted immediately after you. He seems to agree that a 980 can, in fact get 130 FPS if you tweak it properly. Fuck off.

It absolutely can. I have mine running 1080p ultra, 130% resolution and get 80fps. At 100% resolution, ultra settings I get 110-120fps. That's at factory OC too.

you cant even get 110-120fps on battlefield 4 ultra, so i doubt thats true.

Doubt all you want... it's true. I play at 1080p Ultra (I just turn off motion blur and DOF but keep AA) with 130% scaling & factory OC and get 80fps. A properly OCed 980 at 100% scaling (especially if they turn off AA) will absolutely be able to do so.

I'm out of town so I can't record proof for you but it's definitely possible. A stock 980 without any OC during the beta (before driver and game optimizations) got 97fps avg at 1080p Ultra. A 10-20% fps improvement after OCing and driver/game optimizations is not that crazy. Not sure why you find this so unbelievable.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Spoiler

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

With my 1080 on 1440 with ultra preset I would sit around 100-130 fps. After the past few patches it was around 90-110.

On 1080p the CPU would be pegged at 100 so it ran like shit. It was the same on 1440 too but only one map was really bad. My Titan black would sit at 90 fps on 1080 ultra so I imagine a 980 should do a tad better.

1440, might have been on the medium or high preset. Don't remember as I had to switch depending on the map. Underclocking the Titan b quite a bit as it's on air.

Check CPU usage. Battlefield 1 is really hard on CPU usage in general.

constantly on 100% usage with a i5 4690k 4,7ghz and aorus gtx 1080 ti. On some maps cant even hit 60fps with 1440p low. gpu average usage is like 40% and cpu always 100% and there arent even other demanding tasks in the background also task manager isnt showing anything

thats because you have an i5, bf1 will give you 100% usage on all i5s.

i know, but the fact that an i5 will bottleneck any middle to high end gpu in bf1 is pretty ridiculous, i mean 90% of people dont run a desktop i7 and Ryzen 5 even performs worse than a good i5

This really just sounds like the BF1 port to PC being garbage.

I would focus more on complaining on their forums so you guys can get them to patch it.
