I have just upgraded my PC, and now i am getting way more fps drops than ever.

PC spec

-i3-4170

-GTX 1060 3gb

-8gb ddr3 ram

-1tb hard drive.

-550w evga gold power supply

-Deepcool case.

-ASRock H97m Anniversary mobo

When I play Rust I will go from like 70-100 to like 1-20 for a few seconds but it happens every like 5 seconds when i look around.  How do i fix. I plan on getting an i7-4790 soon but how do i fix now.

most likely because your cpu is bottlenecking your gpu.

an i3 isnt a good choice for a 1060.

I know but I have seen many videos of people with like i3 3240 and gtx 1060 3gb and they get constant fps without as many drops as me.

Has your GPU usage dropped during these FPS drops? Play Rust and right when those FPS drops happen, check with MSI Afterburner to see if any GPU usage dropped.

That video isn't on a full server right before the wipe

youre experiencing render lag, everybody has it. Just with higher end hardware raising the render distance makes it happen less frequently

Im on rustified right now and there are only 20 people on it.

My cpu temps are at like 60 c, the gpu temps are at around 60 also is that normal

It  might be my cpu utiliztions, im not sure what that means but when the drops happen it goes from 50-60 % to like 2%

Yes, that's normal. But, your GPU might not be fully utilized at all times. I play CS: GO at around 60-70 FPS; randomly the frames drop to 20 FPS and at that time my GPU usage drops from 100% to ~30%. You need to check with MSI Afterburner and go from there.

Do you know how to fix the cpu utiliztion, my gpu is fine but when I get the drops it goes down to like 2% utiliztion

If youre maxing your CPU only ways are overclock it if thats possible on your board/cpu or buy a better processor.

I'm not 100% on the solution, I haven't figured it out myself. But, you could try unparking your CPU cores, or monitoring CPU usage through the task manager and see if something is causing the FPS drops.

I can send a video of what is happening with all of the temps and stuff

Sometimes, in h1 i will get some sometimes. In overwatch during like the whole first round everyone is invisble and sounds are messed up.

Here are some things you can try:

-Turn up the graphical settings and see if there is a bottleneck (if there is a bottleneck and frame rates are higher on higher settings, try overclocking the CPU)

-Update drivers

-Turn off power saving features

I will try them all but the overclocking one, i dont think you can overclock the i3-4170
