There is a lot more info on this site/forum too. My colleague and I looked into this stuff today and he was actually planning on flashing his 480.

The advantages are higher clock speeds.

 

Also, there are the obvious risks which are of course that you could brick your card

Sorry, I unfortunately don't have experience actually doing this, other than looking into it a bit more on the techpowerup website.

It would be wise to look up a thread on your specific card (because some cards use other voltage modules, which are an important part to the flashing) and see how people are experiencing the flash..

We talked about this part too and bricking your card is definite possibility if you do it wrong.. It does seem to be a somewhat safe-ish.

safeish is not good enough, OP don't do it unless you have a dual bios card or can afford another card if this one bricks.
