Hi all. Any one have experience with the new am4 stuff? I finally got my Ryzen build up and "running" yesterday. It will be running fine then I will randomly get a blue screen windows error code and it will restart. After this last one My background and such show up only as black but all my Icons are visible and I browse/run afterburner ect. I have not tried to run any games yet. My chip seems to be running rather hot as well. around 50c idle. I am not sure if this is normal as I temporarily switched to air cooling while i wait for my bracket to come. My bios are updated to the newest version. (2.10) I Have had no other issues aside from getting my ram to run at expected speeds. When I did windows reinstall for this build it did tell me it was unable to delete all of my files could this be the issue? should I try to do a fresh install again? Any ideas before resorting to reinstalling everything would be great. And thanks everyone for help with previous topics as well.

Build Is

Ryzen 5 1600x

Asrock x370 gaming k4

2x4gb Corsair Vengeance ddr4

Temporarily - coolermaster 212

EVGA 850 bronze psu

Asus RX 480

OCZ trion 150 480gb ssd

Did you try to reapply thermal paste and reseat the cooler?

Frankly idle temps doesn't really matter, only load temps matter :P

What are your load temps? (or does it BSOD before you can even load it?)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Ah I tried to just run it under load and after about 5 minutes it showed up with error again. I was able to identify that it is a system driver failing this time. this makes me think i might just need to reinstall. The temps hit mid 60s in those 5 minutes though. now I am in recovery mode as windows will not load correctly :(
