Subscription without "Subscription"

Is it possible to get a subscription without it showing up under your name? Forum ranks should allow for setting the normal one as default while adding the Floatplane rank.

But why though? You're contributing to something like this forum, so why wouldn't you want to get even a small amount of credit for that?

Unfortunately, there's no way to make displaying the group optional - either everyone has it displayed, or nobody does. Being a Floatplane subscriber shouldn't be something to be ashamed of though.
