good screen 15 or 14 inch 

1080p 900p or 720 p

under 300 AUD 

dont care what cpu

dont care what os reinstalling with my own custom image

Id look into a dell e6420 or thinkpad t420.

get used laptops from ebay, can get bit better specs and also old laptops meet your requirement maybe C2D or C2Q laptops or first gen i series.

ok we arre going with the dell reason why ist cheep 250 here and thinkpads are horible with battrey life i own a x131e i replaced the battrey two times thats 200$ in GOD DAM BATTERYS so yes thanks eletronics wizardy
