Hey guys,

My brother wants me to build him his first pc. He wants it to play bf4 at 1080p at high settings with a budget of about $1000. I will be selling him my 680 that I have laying around for $300, so the rest of the build should be around $700. He prefers it to be on the smaller and quieter side. Here is what I came up with. Would like to know what you guys think.

Thanks for your opinions.

Change the case to Define R4. Get NF-F12s for silence.

I think the stock fans on the r4 series are quiet enough. I need to stay in budget, and noctua fans are not budget fans.

Also, make a PCPartPicker List to see the cheapest prices.

Cases are subjective, so recommendations for those are generally moot points, unless it's a HAF 912 they want. And at this budget, I wouldn't pay $20/fan.

Everything seems fine. The higher clocked RAM would benefit Battlefield, but it may require OCing.

The problem with PCpartpicker is that it's sometimes cheaper to get it in all one place because of shipping and the prices change like every 3 seconds so I would suggest not to.

I prefer newegg, unless everything I want is amazon prime eligible and better price.

That looks good. The only reason I have an expensive seasonic psu is because I don't like to skimp out on psus. And that case doesn't look very attractive lol.

Is that a good SSD I was looking at the 256GB ssd and it looks like a good price.

It's great.

The capstone is a great psu. It's not skimping out at all.

The case was just a suggestion . Of course it's up to you. I've used the PS08 and it was pretty nice.

It has the lowest price for a 250ish GB SSD in PCPartPicker.

Exactly.

This is always subject to sale changes though.
