I'm not going to be seeing FPS gains going from 2133 to 3200mhz if I had ryzen 7 with the games I play

@m84Degman 3000 vs 2133 RAM improves avg fps by around 10%. However it has a more noticeable effect on the 1% or 0.1% minimum frames. This is covered in the lastest LTT video :)

That video seems to be fishy. The numbers put even a 1700+2133 MHz memory WAYY closer to the 7700k than pretty much every other test shows. Gamers Nexus did a test with Ryzen on 3466 MHz RAM and it has numbers nowhere near as close as this guy, so I overall don't trust this video.

Keep in mind this test was done with a 1070, which wont put quite so much pressure on the CPU, which will explain some of those fishy results, he has however retested with a 1080ti:

Yeah... Looks a lot more like what I'm used to seeing. 

 

1700 or 7700k+1070 is a bit unrealistic anyways, as people getting those CPUs are probably getting a 1080 or 1080 ti :P

Still makes up a lot of ground with that 3600mhz, I hope to god gigabyte get some good bios's out, I don't mind waiting but I really took a chance on Ryzen that the gaming performance would improve
