Hi,

 

I love hypocrites. Two months ago I bought a GTX 1080 for 380 USD. Awesome deal, but it was stolen from EVGA and I didn't know - craigslist.

Anyways, I told my buddy that I bought a GPU for 380 USD and he was like "damn man that's expensive as fuck!" 

 

 I sold my 1080 for 550 USD because I didn't like the fact that I don't have warranty on such an expensive product.

Don't worry, I informed new owner about the situation. Lucky me, because 3 weeks later 1080 TI showed up  

 

Last week same buddy is like: "I spent over 750 USD for beers and booze this month!". I believe him, I know how he spends his money when he go out.

 

So yeaaa... I just love damn hypocrites 

 

I just don't understand why spending money on PC parts which will last years is less socially accepted than spending $$ on booze or weed. 

 

Give me a break!

I started with $80 last year in May... Ended up with $3.5k. Now my inv is like ~$1000. Cashed out a lot of my stuff  

 

Gut crimson web FT fv 0.15 was my first item

I used to unbox an m9 tiger, sold it to get a full blue inventory then after a while sold all of it to get a 480 4gb now

Stupid for sure, I was just playing with quite possibly the worst team and I managed to get 37 kills in a GN2 match. Turns out the other team had a MG1 and 4 x SE's.. 

And the MG1 was the one calling cheats on me.

They felt bad for me because they had to canceled the warranty until the case is resolved ( basically dude have to pay for another one) and send me a thermal pads kit to apply on my GPU.

 

Call the cops if you want. I was the victim.

Good that you contacted EVGA about it. Just wanted to point out that possessing a stolen goods is in and of itself illegal. You might think you were the victim, but you were not according to the Canadian law.

Knowingly selling a stolen goods is probably another offense.

 

I am not going to do anything about it. Just wanted to bring that to everyone's attention so that they don't make the same mistakes.

Oh... trust me I don't want that to ever happen to me again. I made profit... true, but I was super stressed out. I would much rather get a legit 1080 and enjoy it. I will probably do it after I get a R5 1600. I sold 1080 because my 2500k (almost no fps gains over 970) was not good enough and I was to stressed out to actually use it. That's why I told the guy that was buying the 1080 from me about everything. I never intended to "scam" anybody. He was cool with it... so I sold it.

 

@Edit I just realized that I look like a hypocrite... Damn.

Classmate spends lots of money on his car. Thinks that it's totally fine. Also spends lots on beer and partying and stuff.

 

I spend like less than one sixth of what he used on car stuff an partying on computer stuff, and he just think I am stupid and don't understand why I would use the amount of money on that.
