I'm not sure about a road bike because it seems a little intense, I think the hybrid is a cylocross isn't?

A cyclocross is more like a road bike when it comes to the geometry but has different brakes that allow the use of wider terrain tires. A cyclocross also has the same type of handlebars as a road bike. What type of cycling will you be doing and on what type of surface?

I will mainly be riding on the road but I think the hybrid will  be more comfortable. Anyone thoughts on which Boardman to purchase?

None of these where designed ergonomically so they will be a bit uncomfortable to ride. of the ones you have there i like the second one most. But if you wan't my opinion i like bikes with a lower seat and higher handle bars, however, you should note i do most of my biking on off road trails so i don't know much about road bikes.

You've yet to list how you're going to use the bike? Just ride around, to and from school, work, race, off road, etc. and mileage.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

For the love God, unless you do a lot of actual on road racing, get a mountain bike, even if you're not doing off-terrain.

With an actual body suspension, your balls will thank you everytime you hit a bump.

Ever thought of actually lifting you ass when you hit a bigger bump or slowing down? I would never get a mountain bike unless i mostly ride in rough terrain, a road bike or even a hybrid is much more enjoyable when riding on roads. In my opinion you don't put 1000£ on a bike without knowing what you actually need.

I do goddamn it, but I cannot foresee every bump, and even when do and go up, sometimes it's worse than one would expect and the bump still gets you.

And who said anything about £1000 bikes?! Unless you're doing something professional, or you're extremely dedicated to biking, only a moron would spend this much on a mountain bike.

Did you even click the link I posted?

And that bike has top of the line suspension, I picked it as it's in the price range that OP picked in his picks. There are also other bikes with great suspension (but maybe not the best of the best) fit for both off and on terrain, and less than £300.
