650 GS whining?

Tobleh

So for the past couple weeks I've been trying to diagnose an issue with something in my computer emitting a high pitched squeal at random times. And I think I've finally narrowed it down to the power supply. (took a while to tell if it was it or the gpu)
It's not at all related to temperature or load, it happens at any time without warning. I'm thinking it could be the fan?? But I'm not sure. Do you guys have any idea what in a power supply could be causing a random high pitched squeal? And if there's any way to fix it without voiding the warranty?
I have a 10 year warranty on this sucker and can get a replacement, but it's kind of a pain to go through that process, so fixing it at home would be cool if possible! :)
The sound is INFURIATING! lol

A broken fan usually has a bit moar "grinding" sound to it.

Ah okay. Damn I was hoping it wasn't coil whine. Would EVGA replace a unit due to coil whine, do you guys know?

Manufacturers usually don't accept RMA's due to coil whine...

On the plus side, it can go away. My 290x had coil whine when it was new, but it disappeared after a while
