Problems with Groove Music

GermanPCBuilder

Hey so lately I've had many problems with the groove music player on Win10 (sorry that I use a standard music player but it's good enough for me). Everytime I start the player my whole destop just freezes like immediatly and I can barely do anything. I can't even close the music player with Task Manager. But if I open a music track from my music folders it plays that song from the Groove Player with no problem and I can even select differnt playlists and everything works as it's supposed to be. I don't know why this is happening but I need help with fixing this.

That's weird, I never had this issue. Did you update to the new Creators update?

While the MacOS version is better, I don't have anything against it. It works fine. It plays my music, it plays my movies. What more can I ask for?

You can try a couple things

The command:

sfc /scannow

will check for corrupted files and replace them if necessary.

You can also reinstall the Groove app.

Easy way: http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-reinstall-groove-music-app-in-windows-10/

Harder (ehh..) way:

Open Powershell and run these commands in order

Get-AppxPackage *zunemusic* | Remove-AppxPackage
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

I have never had those issues. My MacBook is fine as well but on PC the worst that happens is the application "falls asleep" and it takes a second to wake up again.
