What is enough of a SD card for the Raspberry Pi

ChuckMaurice

I'm planning to tinker with my Raspberry Pi I just bought (model 2). It comes with a 8GB Sandisk microSD card (class 10) but as I will try multiple things on it I figured I'd just buy multiple SD cards and swap at will.

I'm wondering what µSD cart is considered decent enough to work well as an OS storage for Linux, servers, IoT applications...

Class 4 seems too slow, and I don't think I'll go under 4GB to have enough disk space. What do you recommend?

To be honest lower capacity Class 10 SD cards are so cheap now days there's not really much point in going for a slower one. A hand full of 16GB should be good for pretty much anything you'll need to do with a RaspberryPi.
