New Workshop PC, Thoughts ?

2 Things: 

1. PSU I know is overkill watts wise but best quality available without going even more overkill in watt's
2. Ram we are getting cheaper than corsair Value ram at a higer speed and haven't heard any horror stories about that brand

 

Machine is mainly for data backups and Imagining as I'm sure you can tell from the case, Put the 1600 and extra ram in as will also be running sandbox's and some VM's for POC'ing 

 

Overall pretty happy with it. What you guys rate ?

I'd get Seagate Barracuda instead, same price while having 7200rpm speed

Was Corsair CX450M not available?

Why 4 sticks of memory? Corsair Vengeance LPX 

Hope the WD Blue are not in a RAID array.

Nope, they only have the VS450 and not to keen on it in a quality view. 

Won't be going beyond 16Gb and this way can fully utilize the dual channel. Also the Kit is same price as a 8GB stick of lower speed/Quality. 

 

Nope, No need for raid, the drives are going to be used purely for dumping client files and backups. Why we going with that Specific case.

Pc ordered today, Can't wait to build it up !! Really looking forward to working with that case. 

 

Did however change the ram as budget did get slightly expanded
