Single is enough but if you want redundancy then do dual.

Although it's extremely unlikely for a D5 to fail anyway.

@airdeano sounds like hes doing everything.... CPU/GPU/Mosfets/RAM/Chipset most likely... or a combination of these...

It would make it redundant.

That means if one fails the other will still be working and prevent your PC from overheating.

You don't need two pumps.

a difference in your wallet, but for the system, nothing. on a dual, both are running, one poops-the-bed and the other is there to keep supply system flow.

 

unless you are doing RAM for show-off, don't.

You should be fine with a single D5 pump.

 

Alot of people will split the loops and have 2 different loops running in parallel with the GPUs being on one and the CPU on another. You could add the RAM into the CPU loop should you choose this route. This obviously would require more hardware to accomplish should you go this route.

RAM is not warm at all. under 80°, but when you jilt 2.0v into it, then the need for some cooling is needed at 125°. forget the RAM cooling.

Just get a Revo d5 if you really don't want a pump res combo. Easily handles the 8 blocks in my rig.
