First time PC building

I'm planning on building a PC for the first time. It's gonna be a budget PC and I will use a couple Parys I already have. I want to uwe a Ryzen 1400 because I hear a lot of good things about ryzen. And for gpu I want to use a RX 270x witch cost 50€ here in the Netherlands. So the CPU is almost 3 times a expencive as the GPU and I hear a lot of people say that te GPU is the most expencive part. So what I want to know is: Will the GPU bottleneck the CPU?

A 1400 isn't really good. Honestly, if I were you I'd get a G4560+B250 mobo instead and pair that with a stronger GPU.

you know you are comparing older technology to new technology so that proverb is mute.

best to give the forums your budget, intended usage of the PC and location to formulate a best solution for your needs.

I said get a G4560 since you can use the money saved to get a better GPU, which will give overall better performance than a 1400+270.

4c+4t will have a better minimum fps in games and better for future games, most games that is coming out takes advantage of more cores especially paired with a high-end GPU.

The only game the 7500 loses to the 1500x in is metro last light, which hasn't even updated for years, besides ashes, of course, which is quite an exception.

7500 vs 1500x is comparable to 7400 vs 1400.

 

While I would totally agree with you if you're talking about the 6 core CPUs, the quad core r5 CPUs honestly aren't very good.

 

An upgrade to an i7 in the future would also be better than a Ryzen CPU for gaming.
