Today I installed W10 on my new SSD and had to restore it from 0.

It got freezed on the wait screen and I tried to reinstall W10 from my USB drive with a new ISO, but just before the configuration that comes after the install (when Cortana asks you which options to pick) got freezed again.

Now, I'm trying to install W10 from the USB that I used to try to reinstall, but when the USB boots a message that says 'the system restarted unexpectedly or an error occurred. Click accept to install Windows' and when I click accept, it tries to install but gets freezzed on a black screen.

My plan is to get another bootable USB or if that fails, format both HDD and SSD on my friend's computer

What should I do?

Thanks for your answers and sorry for bad english

Have you tried to reformat the USB to NTFS and then install a iso at it using the Microsoft's tool found here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10ISO

That's what I did to install W10

So, if I get a new bootable USB it won't work because there are leftovers of the failed Windows installation, that must be right

My only option is: format both SSD and HDD on my friend's computer and then try to install Windows 10 again on that SSD. Would it work?

IF you dont have any data to lose and got license key somewhere stored safe / wrote it down. then you can atleast give it a try. format everything first make a fresh boot usb and try again. To format it without pc booting use a live CD for example or connect it to other pc using SATA --> USB adapter and format it that way. For these situations i always got a USB with me with a lightweight OS :) (linux / hires boot CD)

I can format them by connecting them through SATA to my friend's computer. Then, using his Windows drive, format first SSD and then HDD. By this I mean:

1. Connect my SSD to my friends PC

2. Boot his PC from his daily driver

3. Format SSD

4. Repeat with HDD

do you have anouther system laying around?

Make a bootable usb of ubuntu, then select memtest when booting it.

I have a W7 CD but as I said I get a message saying that W10 installation failed and can't do anything

Also my BIOS is starting to freeze

Thanks for the tip! My friend is coming with a bootable USB just to try if we can install W10 from a new stick without formatting any drive, so I can use the computer ASAP

RAM? Does it have something to do with this issue? I will try but I don't think it will work

there is something wrong with your hardware. Ram is often a issue and taking one stick out can be a quick check. Bad ram would cause all of these issues.

1 stick is out now. Looks like bios works better.

I just have an idea: locate that W10 installation leftover.

WAIT IM WRITING THIS AND NOW THE INSTALLATION HAS OPENED. TRYING TO INSTALL W10 ON SSD

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR RESPONSES, I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED

First, before the SSD install, was ANYTHING else not operating properly?

You need to do a proper assessment of your hardware. Something is corrupting your install, or causing the PC to freeze at random.

Memtest86+ for RAM. Run it with all sticks in. If you get errors take a stick out and re-run till that stops happening. If you have the patience it is worth putting a known good stick in all RAM slots one at a time. This way you know if you have bad RAM or bad RAM slots.

Ultimate Boot CD has a suite of tools for testing RAM, CPU and other hardware components.
