Backlit Keyboard when unplugged?

Go to solution Solved by bgibbz,

Often time laptops have a hardware button to control led back lighting. Check the function row. Also check UEFI (BIOS), there is often a setting.

I have an Acer Aspire V 15 V3-575-50TD (try saying that 5 times fast). It comes with a backlit keyboard that lights up when the computer is plugged in. When unplugged, the lights turn off. Is there any way to keep them permanently on?

Specs:

i5-6200U

2 x 4GB DDR3L 1600Mhz (Upgraded from 4gb)

Intel Iris 520 (1gb Allocated)

500GB 2.5" 5400RPM 9mm thick Toshiba HDD

Thanks!

They're lit because the computer gets power from the wall to power the LED's.

Its a laptop...  I doubt the keyboard is being powered by the wall.
