A "partial" proxy?

MyLaptopSucks

Is there any way (plugin or standalone program) to configure the browser to use a proxy only when acessing a specific site? I often go on the Escapist forums but the country I live in and, hence, post from has been blocked in a spam ban net. I don't want to route all traffic through a proxy whenever I wanna go on escapist since this will slow my skype and youtube to a crawl. Any help would be appreciated.

Current browser: Chrome, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Change to Firefox if you want to change your aproxy, you can change it in the setting on Firefox. No program needed

Will that allow configuring it to only go to a proxy for traffic to one site?

If you don't mind a bit of coding, you can use a PAC file to direct certain URLs through different proxies or let them go through direct. In chrome's proxy settings, there should be a "use automatic configuration script" option. enter the location of the script using the syntax: file://C:/path/to/script

Firefox has builtin proxy but also few good plugins. Easiest to use is Stealthy. I think they have Chrome version also.

It hides your proxy all together, Basically it overlaps your existing IP address, So no matter what website you go to, you will be unknown.

I personally like this method better then using hide IP. You have to go through a few more loops with this method but it's more secure this way. It secures your privacy so much better then a program can do, manly because you have to set it your self.

Here are two of many websites you can get anonymous proxy's from

http://www.freeproxylists.net/

I hope this helps you.

Thank you all for the help, I ended up going with the PAC file option, and it works. Only thing I need now is a stable free proxy server. The ones on the free proxy lists keep going offline, does anybody have any ideas for one?
