So, as you all are probably well aware, Razer takes Apple's naming insanity and runs with it. I'm looking at used machines and am having trouble keeping specs/release iterations straight.

If someone could summarize, for each type of Razer Blade (standard (old)/pro, blade 14, blade stealth) how many iterations each has gone through, and what the key/identifying specs are for each, that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance for any info, I'm at a dead end trying to navigate this area and look forward to any help.

Thanks, any idea which iterations have the Chroma keyboards, and which have thunderbolt ports?

:/ you need to @ tag me or quote or I won't see your response.  I'll update my list

Sorry, new to this forum and fairly little experience with them in general. Thanks for the tip.

No prob.  All RBS will have chroma and the last 2 gen (sky and kaby) do as well

To be more accurate for the Razer Blade models (There was never a Broadwell):

2640m/555m

3632qm/660m

4702HQ/870m

4720HQ/970m (last non Chroma)

6700HQ/970m (Chroma TB III)

6700HQ/1060 (Chroma TB III)

7700HQ/1060 (Chroma TB III/ 4K screen added)

RBS is fine.

Thanks for the info. From that, I suppose I shouldn't personally run into any problems (GPU will only be used for limited 3D modeling, as gaming is handled by my desktop,) and am sue-happy enough that I'll wish them luck trying to pull any ****ery over on me. I'll definitely take that into account when making any purchase, but it won't necessarily dissuade me entirely from making any such purchase.
