Internet cable broken?

So after an incident reguarding my couch I heard the Cable for my internet snap. The internet went down immidiately. Im not sure if the cable is the problem or the plug on the wall or both. I wont be able to reply fast because im posting this on my phone with a small data cap

can't you just replace the cable?

I am assuming it is coax, you should be able to replace the cable and/or the plate connection to fix it.
